CNBC Anchor Becky Quick To Moderate "I.O.U.S.A. LIVE" In-Theatre Discussion ON U.S. Economic Challenges With Warren Buffett, Pete Peterson And Dave Walker

NCM Fathom and Roadside Attractions Present National Town Hall on the Big Screen on August 21

New York, Aug. 6, 2008 – CNBC's Becky Quick, co-anchor of "Squawk Box," the network's signature morning news program, will moderate I.O.U.S.A.: Live with Warren Buffett, Pete Peterson & Dave Walker on August 21. Theatres across America will become community town halls as Quick interviews five of the nation's top financial and economic policy experts in a 45-minute discussion following the viewing of the acclaimed documentary "I.O.U.S.A."

Representing a broad range of views, panelists Warren Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway; William Niskanen, chairman of the CATO Institute; Bill Novelli, CEO of AARP; Pete Peterson, senior chairman of The Blackstone Group and chairman of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation; and Dave Walker, president and CEO of the Peterson Foundation and former U.S. Comptroller General will explore the growth of the national debt and what can be done to make the nation more fiscally sound. Questions will come from Quick, from the live audience in Omaha, and through www.IOUSAtheMovie.com.

"I'm looking forward to moderating a first-class panel discussion on the critical topic of debt and its potential long-term implications of the nation's short-term actions," said Quick. "This event, a true 21st-century town hall, couldn't come at a more appropriate time."

Quick co-anchors "Squawk Box," the ultimate "pre-market" morning news and talk program, where the biggest names in business and politics bring their most important stories. "Squawk"'s unique sense of street smarts and wit mixes business news with an unscripted and fast-paced exchange of banter. Quick's co-anchors are Joe Kernen and Carl Quintanilla. Featuring reports from Washington, Silicon Valley, London and Hong Kong, "Squawk Box" brings Wall Street to Main Street and is a "must see" for everyone from the professional trader to the casual investor.

I.O.U.S.A.: Live with Warren Buffett, Pete Peterson & Dave Walker will take place on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. CT / 6:00 p.m. MT / 7:30 p.m. PT (tape-delayed). For a list of theatre locations, please visit www.IOUSAtheMovie.com or www.FathomEvents.com (theatres are subject to change).

The critically acclaimed documentary "I.O.U.S.A.," directed by Patrick Creadon ("Wordplay"), tells the story of America's four key deficits - budget, savings, balance of payments and leadership - and their implications for the nation and its citizens. Americans are faced with an ever-expanding government and military, increased foreign competition, and financial obligations that will become ever more difficult to honor absent meaningful reforms. As 78 million baby boomers begin to retire and collect benefits from over-extended entitlement programs, an economic crisis of epic proportions awaits. Using candid interviews, archival footage and economic data, "I.O.U.S.A." presents a vivid profile of America's current financial status. The documentary will open in theatres in 10 cities on Aug. 22.
